We at DATUM are delighted to announce that Dr Timothy Rawson, Dr Jasmin Hodgson and Nicholas Blomfield have joined the charity as Trustees.  

Timothy, Jasmin and Nicholas, who joined in October 2021, will bring with them a wealth of invaluable experience in healthcare and legal and strategy planning, further supporting the delivery of DATUM’s charitable objectives.

Jasmine is a London General Practitioner who qualified from Imperial College London in 2014. As Trustee she hopes that through her healthcare role she can provide input on the healthcare and sanitisation projects. In her spare time she enjoys travelling the world, climbing, scuba diving and gardening.

Jasmin said of her new role:

“I am looking forward to contributing to the invaluable work that DATUM already does and making a difference to the lives of people around the world. I really wanted to become part of the DATUM team as I like how they focus on empowering the local communities to gain the resources/infrastructure required to thrive.” 

Nicholas is a dual qualified solicitor in England and Wales and in Ireland, Trinity Sitting (Dublin) and is currently qualifying as a U.S. Attorney in the State of New York. Nicholas specialises in financial regulation, data protection, banking, funds, blockchain and cryptocurrency.

Nicholas has experience working with local partners and teams as well as leading on transactions and negotiations internationally and has spent time working in Beijing and the United Arab Emirates. Nicholas has a profound interest in charitable work, and is passionate about various sports (windsurfing, Muay Thai, cycling), fitness, reading and technology.

Nick said:

“My willingness to join DATUM as a Trustee is rooted in my passion to play an active role in support for those who need it most across the world. I am looking forward towards working with the DATUM team as well as our local partners and I hope to bring skills that compliment the current team to continue the successful growth of DATUM in the current and future countries that we work in. I am keen to help develop the strategy, develop our network and support the fundraising efforts to continue to grow.”

Timothy “Tim” is an academic doctor specialising in infectious diseases and medical microbiology. He has worked for both the NHS and Imperial College London since 2013. Tim has an interest in Global Health and Humanitarian Medicine, completing his Diploma in Tropical Medicine and Hygiene with Médecins Sans Frontières in 2016. Tim has spent time working in India with a charity specialising in leprosy and neglected tropical diseases.

“As a Trustee, I am excited to have the opportunity to contribute to improving the health, education, and living conditions for individuals supported by DATUM.”
