As you know DATUM FOUNDATION has already worked for over ten years to provide access to education, healthcare and sanitation to poor and disadvantaged children and communities across Asia and Africa.
Once each year we ask our friends and supporters to help us raise funds for one of our projects. We have now launched our BIG CHRISTMAS APPEAL 2021 to raise funds to undertake a comprehensive refurbishment of the Rural Community Clinic in the village of Chikwina in northern Malawi.
The existing facility comprises an external waiting area, consulting room, treatment room, two small wards and an office. The hard-working staff are forced to deliver vital healthcare in very poor and insanitary conditions.
The works will include the repairs and redecoration of the building and the supply and installation of new furniture, fixtures and fittings as required to make the building operational – including, desks, chairs, beds, bed linen, mosquito nets, and medical equipment. All works will be undertaken by local workers.
We hope to raise £10,000 which will allow us to start the refurbishment of the Clinic early in 2022. Our BIG CHRISTMAS APPEAL 2021 will run from 1st to 31st December 2021. Please note that all donations from UK taxpayers will attract an additional 25% Gift Aid. Also, as always, 100% of all monies raised will go towards the project.
