We were delighted to receive a donation from the Holy Trinity Church in Bosham recently, which along with the very kind donations received from our supporters, will go toward helping to stop the spread of COVID-19 in the community of Nkhata Bay in northern Malawi.
We’re very grateful for the donations and support we receive, without which we simply couldn’t do the work we do.
We heard from The Reverend Canon Martin Lane who said;
“At the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic DATUM FOUNDATION decided to mothball their construction projects and concentrate their resources on helping tens of thousands of people in the remote areas of Northern Malawi fight this devastating virus.
They provided funds to purchase fabric and employ local tailors to make nearly 30,000 face masks and to purchase thousands of bars of soap and handwash water buckets which were distributed to schools, clinics across the region.
DATUM FOUNDATION’s main concern is the health and safety of children, and people of the Nkhata Bay District of northern Malawi. We at the Holy Trinity Church Bosham are delighted to have been able to contribute to this important work and we encourage others to do the same.”
