The primary school in the village of Kankalabe in Guinea was founded in 1929. Today 658 pupils are cramped into its five buildings. Conditions are so poor that a local, Aliou Hann, approached DATUM to ask for help. Works to one classroom included repairs of the walls, new roof, ceiling and decorations. Also the supply of new furniture and a blackboard. The school has only three toilets and no water. So DATUM have constructed new toilets and dug a well to supply of clean water for drinking and hand-washing.
The works were completed for the start of the new term in the Autumn of 2013.
