Elsa is a multilingual news reporter and communications professional who has reported from, and lived in, dozens of countries in the Middle East, South America and Sub-Saharan Africa.
Previously on Newsweek Media Group’s Africa news desk, she now helps deliver successful information campaigns for the NGO sector to promote awareness of security, human rights, and health issues among the public, social institutions, NGOs, and governments. She is currently working with a humanitarian landmine clearance project in Yemen – helping the project address the issues of landmine warfare, deadly explosive devices and their impact on Yemeni society. Having been involved with DATUM since its launch, Elsa uses her cross-cultural context experience to work with staff throughout the world to ensure effective collaboration and successful delivery of projects, and awareness campaigns.
